September 2011

TVision Technology has been named as a finalist in the BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards 2011. The annual Awards are the benchmark for excellence throughout the computer industry. They focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months. The BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards are a platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence.

Surrey based Microsoft Gold Partner TVision is shortlisted in the Project Excellence category, showcasing the implementation of Agency Time, the recruitment back office solution based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, for Penta Consulting. “When TVision asked us to be the case study for their award entry, we were more than happy. The project has been extremely smooth and it is very pleasing that all our efforts are acknowledged.” Ian Storrier, FD Penta Consulting.

The award entry required a detailed description of the project, its challenges, how well it was managed and the benefits for Penta. David Clarke, Chief Executive Officer, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, says: “Congratulations to the finalists; the competition to reach this stage of our prestigious Awards is tough. Our Awards are central to our mission to recognise the innovation and professionalism of those working in IT and I’m delighted that every year we have such a variety of high quality entries. They are an excellent reflection of the impact IT has on so many aspects of our information society and the potential IT has to transform business, society and our lives.”

Commenting on the company’s achievement in being shortlisted, TVision’s MD Richard Thompson, “Microsoft has made Gold Partner status more difficult to achieve with much more emphasis on delivery capability; TVision’s short listing for project excellence reflects our commitment to delivering great solutions for our clients, I am really pleased with the hard work of our team and look forward to progressing in the awards.”

The next stage of the judging process is a presentation to a panel of industry experts selected by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, on 30th September. The winners will be announced at a lavish gala evening event at the Battersea Park Events Arena, London on 10 November 2011.

Abigail Waraker, Editor of Computing Magazine comments: “I would like to congratulate the finalists. The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged and to be announced as a finalist is a great achievement.”
