TVision Technology was one of many industry suppliers who exhibited at the Recruitment Agency Expo at London’s Olympia exhibition centre this week. The show provided recruitment professionals the opportunity to attend thought leading seminars, training and visit the trade show.

Day one of the Expo saw delegates queuing for the doors to open at 09.30am. People came for best practice insight and networking opportunities.
In the trade show zone, a lot of attention was on the front office solutions, technology that supports the recruitment consultant’s day-to-day life. With so many suppliers vying for attention, there was some very aggressive marketing, particularly amongst the cloud-based CRM providers all locking horns.

Day two of the expo was more focused on mobile working. Several of the seminars provoked some interesting thoughts on mobile use, and it was interesting how few agencies had paid any consideration to how their websites were presented across different, particularly mobile devices. This opened interesting debate about appropriate levels of technology v human interaction and what good tech practices looked like.

Nicki Stewart, Sales Director TVision Technology, “At this moment in time, the tools to be mobile are very accessible. However, the technology needs to support a company’s mobile aspirations, but product is not a way to shortcut strategy and process review.”

With 2467 industry professionals attending the show, takeaways ranging from thoughts on IT strategy to HMRC changes for contractors to pick’n’mix made it the most successful Rec Expo to date.
