TVision Technology proudly announced on December 17th that its Wine System solution is now Certified for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The certification signifies that the solution has met Microsoft’s highest standard for quality in partner-developed software.

By successfully meeting all certification requirements, TVision sports the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD) logo. TVision’s Wine System is now the only certified solution for the UK wine trade. TVision is the nineteenth UK ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) partner to successfully acquire the certification for partner developed solutions.

“We appreciate the hard work and dedication your company has put into the certification process.” Steve Nemzer, Vice President, Lionbridge Global Development and Testing.

The Wine System for Dynamics NAV was first developed for Enotria Winecellars in 2002. At that time choices for wine industry specific software were limited to niche providers. The ability of Microsoft Dynamics NAV to be developed provided the answer: industry specific functionality in a widely-supported platform. Hamish Gillespie, Finance Director of North South Wines and with some eight years in the industry comments, “There are lots of things that we need that are specific to the wine industry which TVision understand, and which other systems don’t handle well.”

For clients, Certified for Microsoft Dynamics identifies Microsoft Dynamics solutions that have been tested for compatibility, meet high quality standards, and are successfully used by their peers in the industry. For wine merchants, the Wine System provides industry functionality with the benefits of Microsoft. “Microsoft Dynamics NAV impressed us as the best mid-market solution available,” Gary Wyatt, Chief Operating Officer, Liberty Wines. “Selecting TVision means we have a solution that fits, based on the product we want to use and with a partner who has proven experience in our industry.”

Introduced some six years ago (to coincide with the release of Dynamics NAV 2009), this certification represents a significant step in elevating the standard for partner-developed software solutions for industry-specific business applications. By highlighting these solutions, Microsoft also creates new opportunities for partners to expand. “We are excited about the opportunities CfMD brings, particularly following the successful deployment of the solutio in the US two years ago,” Claudio Martell, Product Manager for the Wine System, TVision Technology.

In addition to CfMD, TVision’s Wine System has won several Microsoft awards over the years, including ERP of the Year (Western Europe) in 2003 and Customer Excellence for Innovation in 2014. “The Wine System is well proven with both awards and through steady growth gaining reputable UK Wine Merchants,” Nicki Stewart, TVision Technolgy, continues, “The CfMD accreditation is testament to our commitment to continual improvement of our offering to the industry.”

With Microsoft Dynamics NAV established as the leading ERP solution emphasis is on selecting the best partner. CfMD proves both product fit and partner capability. Simon Haworth, Atlas Fine Wines’ finance director stated, “We very much value TVision’s knowledge and expertise, not only of Dynamics NAV but also the wine industry as a whole.”

CfMD solutions must pass rigorous VeriTest software solution testing for Microsoft Dynamics and are profiled in the Microsoft Partner Solution Profiler tool. In addition, the Microsoft Dynamics partner must have a large group of Dynamics NAV customers who are successfully using the certified solution and are willing to recommend it; be enrolled in a Partner Service Plan with Microsoft; and be a Gold Certified Partner in the Microsoft Partner Program.

By requiring both the software solution and the partner to meet their highest standards, Microsoft is assuring customers that these certified solutions work with their investments in Microsoft Dynamics.
