TVision attending Directions EMEA 2016

It’s time once again for Directions EMEA, and this year we’re delighted to have sent a team of 5 people from across the business – our biggest contingent ever – to join over 1700 other NAV professionals in beautiful Prague.

This year the focus is on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017, and the keynote address illustrated some of the new features and functionality which includes:

  • Closer integration between NAV and Office 365 – especially in Outlook
  • Embedded PowerBI
  • Finance enhancements including account categorisation, and the ability to pre-define reports
  • “Brick view” where you can see items listed alongside their pictures
  • Apply custom attributes to items (e.g size, colour) globally or on a per-item basis
  • Improved built-in OCR for electronic document import
  • Better integration with Dynamics CRM out of the box – easy setup, and the ability to share data back and forth between CRM and NAV
  • An improved user experience across desktop, web, tablet and mobile versions
  • Cortana Intelligence (machine learning) for super-intelligent forecasting which will (amongst other things) use your previous data to recognise trends and even factor in seasonality

The Keynote address at Directions EMEA 2016

The rest of the day unfolded with a series of talks and hands-on workshops run by industry professionals, and our team learned lots more about the NAV 2017 feature set and how TVision can harness them for the benefit of our customers.

There were also several sessions run by ISVs, who took the opportunity to demonstrate how their solutions can extend NAV even further.

The day ended with Team TVision enjoying an evening river cruise – all in all, not a bad way to unwind after our first day at Directions EMEA 2016!
