Name someone you admire, and why?
My wife Patricia for being a passionate researcher with a patience of a saint for me.
What’s a typical day like for you?
Up at 6.30 am (or even before depending on my 2 year old daughter’s mood), a nice slow breakfast with my wife and then at work until 6.00pm.
After that, you can find myself cooking dinner and watching a TV series (more likely sleeping on the sofa).
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I enjoy cooking and I can (badly) play guitar.
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
On a Vespa 50CC special riding in Rome. Trust me, it is not a good idea even though it may sound nice!

At the supermarket with my daughter in the trolley having fun while I try to complete the weekly grocery list as quickly as possible. Current record: 24 minutes.

Solving people’s problems while being nice with them.

Name something surprising on your bucket list
Take few months off and backpacking in few remote countries. Possible options I have in my mind: Cambodia, Vietnam and Australia.
Describe a personal goal that you want to accomplish in the next year?
Learn new DIY skills and apply these to my house with hopefully decent results!
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Experimenting new recipes in the kitchen.
What are some causes you care about?
I tend to support financially 1 or 2 charities per year and then move on to other charities. I am currently supporting NSPCC. I also do care about environmental issues.
What do you do with friends in your spare time?
Eating and drinking together preferably at home. When hanging out, I enjoy playing any sort of game (billiard, ping pong, darts, arcade video games…).
What would be your personal motto?
Work hard but have fun!
