We recently spoke to Fiona Wise, Cosmos’s Commercial Director about the product: its evolution, and what the integration process would involve.

1. What is the history behind Cosmos Data Technologies? When did it start business, who were the founders?

Cosmos Data Technologies was founded in 2020 by three industry veterans who saw an opportunity to provide a cutting-edge reporting, analytics, and data management solution that is designed for business users, not technical resources.

2. How big is the team that you work with?

Cosmos collaborates with over 120 Microsoft Dynamics Business Central partners worldwide. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, USA, and supported by two exclusive distributors covering the UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe, the group is experiencing exponential year-on-year growth.

3. What kind of organisations do you currently work with? 

Cosmos is a channel-driven organisation that works exclusively with Microsoft Dynamics partners and their customers across all business sizes and industry sectors

4. Can your solution be used for projects other than simply a brand-new ERP implementation?

Cosmos offers ALL Microsoft Dynamics Business Central customers the opportunity to benefit from a lightning-fast, modern reporting and analytics tool to gain data-driven insights to their business. Many of our recent Cosmos customers have been using Business Central SaaS for several years.

5. Do you speak to a lot of Microsoft users?

We frequently talk with Microsoft Business Central users working in conjunction with their Microsoft Dynamics partner.

6. On average, how long does a typical integration process take?

Cosmos is a true turnkey solution. Installation takes 30 minutes or less, enabling users to start reporting on their business data right away.

7. Can the process be achieved entirely remote, or do you need to meet people face to face?

Installation is remote with training and the extension knowledge base available free via on our website and within Cosmos’s AI-based learning platform. We also offer 1:1 online training packages at an additional cost. While there is no need for face-to-face meetings, we frequently engage with users at our partners’ customer events.

8. What information does a prospective client need to pull together before they approach you?

To gauge the customer’s requirement ahead of a demo, we ask that a client (or their Cosmos partner) completes a brief discovery questionnaire to outline their specific reporting and analytics needs, requirements, and expectations.
