Franceska Balla – Support Consultant - -
Having joined the TVision Support team in July 2019, Franceska is a welcome new addition to our busy support desk.
Name someone you admire, and why?
My parents, because they have always been strong, supportive and sacrificed a lot for me and my siblings. It was never easy for both of them.
What’s a typical day like for you?
It stars with commuting from London to Woking, and then support tickets and a lot of learning. And then back home again. Once I am back, I go jogging, cook and relax a bit. Now that I read it, it doesn’t look like I have a very busy day.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I pick up languages quite easily if I like them and I can finish a 300 page novel in a day if I really love it. Not sure if these are considered talents.
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
Prague or Budapest, wondering around. I love these two cities a lot.
Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
It may sound weird, but I thought I had my life figured then. I wanted to be a lawyer to help my dad win his court cases and have all his land back for the family farm. It didn’t really work. Grew up to study IT and economics.
Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me...
Making breakfast while google-ing what to visit next in London. Still new in the city, loads to explore.
How do you want people to remember you?
Smart, kind, polite, supportive and a hardworking person.
What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
Logic, passion and determination.
Name three words that you describe you.
Curious, kind and I would love to say I am smart.
How do you think your colleagues would describe you?
I am still new. But probably the girl who is still not used to the weather and is always cold, and the new girl who is always reading. All joking aside, I hope as nice and willing to learn.
Name something surprising on your bucket list
Well, this year it would probably be Asia.
Describe a personal goal that you want to accomplish in the next year?
Being able to do both support and consultancy and learning more on the job as this is something I really enjoy.
What publications do you regularly read?
Different novels, I am a bookworm. My Goodreads profile proves it. But lately, I have been reading more about SQL. I really want to learn it.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Sightseeing and travelling around London or reading.
What are some causes you care about?
Cancer especially on little kids, its heart breaking. But nowadays I feel like mental health is becoming even more dangerous.
What do you do with friends in your spare time?
Well, travelling, long conversations, football, drinking and we always have this thing of trying new restaurants.
What would be your personal motto?
‘Because you are a girl’ is never a reason for anything. Ever. – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. So believe you deserve everything you have ever dreamed of and never give up trying to achieve them.
