PackPost’s partnership with Woking based, TVision Technology began in 2002, when TVision implemented Dynamics NAV as the core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for both PackPost Services and PackPost International. The solution addressed all areas of the business, from customer relationship management (CRM) to finance.

PackPost provides media fulfilment and international mailing solutions to a wide range of national and international customers and has grown steadily since it was established in 1974. Dynamics NAV has supported its growth over the last 12 years. However, over time the version of Dynamics NAV PackPost were running started to feel dated and new users began to develop workarounds. The PackPost team who had originally selected and implemented NAV were no longer in the business and the decision was made to review the company’s current ERP needs.

“As none of the current team had been involved in the selection of Dynamics NAV originally there was no real sense of ownership,” Michelle Lucatello, Finance Director. “Operationally it was in danger of becoming a burden to the business rather than the asset it had once been.”
PackPost’s project team drew up a concise requirements list and went to market. The evaluation addressed considerations such as whether to implement a fully integrated system or adopt a “best of breed” combination of accounting package and CRM. Key criteria included usability and a roadmap that would ensure PackPost had a solid IT foundation for the next decade.

“It was never a definite that Dynamics NAV would be selected,” Nicki Stewart, TVision Technology. “We knew this was very much a competitive situation. We are delighted that the combined strengths of NAV 2015 and of the team relationships won out.”

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 has scored extremely well in usability tests since its release last year. The solution has benefitted from direct input from the Microsoft Office team to ensure consistency across Microsoft products. It is this consistency that is proving so popular with users familiar with Word, Outlook and Excel.

“We were immediately impressed by NAV 2015,” Michelle Lucatello, “it was not only light years ahead of our old version, it was also light years ahead of the other mid-market packages we evaluated. We were also really pleased to continue working with TVision.”

PackPost joins a growing number of TVision’s clients who have been building their companies’ growth on Dynamics NAV and their partnership with TVision for well over a decade.

“TVision was established to provide long-term partnerships built on Dynamics NAV with its ability to flex and grow,” Nicki Stewart. “Central to the success has been the continued acknowledgement that it is people who make IT work. We have been fortunate to work with great clients such as PackPost and look forward to the future.”
