TVision Retain Microsoft Gold Partner status

March 2012

Walton-on-Thames based TVision Technology retain their Microsoft Gold Partner status, one of only 26 Gold partners in the South East who hold the competency for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions.

Microsoft over-hauled the partner accreditation two years ago, making it more difficult to attain the Gold standard. The new system aimed to ensure Gold was a premium and that it reflected product and service expertise for specific competences.

“The old system had meant that too many partners were Gold and it was unclear what exactly they were Gold for, so was of limited value to prospective customers,” comments Richard Thompson, MD of TVision Technology. “We welcomed the changes to the system, rising to the challenge of the additional exams.”

In contrast to the old system that was predominantly focused on sales volume, the new system is heavily focused on quality of service. The partner scheme now reflects changes in Microsoft’s business model, away from pure product sales to a partner channel where quality of service is essential for achieving the Gold standard. Product and technical knowledge, ability to deliver and adopting a sales approach that focuses on understanding the value that the Microsoft proposition adds are as important as product sales and customer retention.

“Gold reflects that we have the ability and the resources to ensure successful delivery to our clients,” continues Thompson, “We are very pleased that we have continually maintained the Gold standard for over five years.”
