Nicola Bourne – Bevica Quality Control Manager

Nicola has worked at TVision for over 15 years and has a wealth of experience across the Consultancy and Support teams. Starting off in Consultancy she helped to implement the Dynamics solution with Clients, and that experience has proved invaluable in her current role as the Bevica Quality Control Manager.

What’s a typical day like for you?
There isn’t a typical day on support!

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I reached grade 7 on the violin at school before I gave it up and it now gathers dust under my bed

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
Somewhere hot with an ice cold cocktail in my hand.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I had no idea. I loved being creative as a kid, so I wanted to do something with that but didn’t know what.

What publications do you regularly read?
Sadly I don’t have time for regular reading, but I do enjoy a gossip magazine or two at the hairdressers.

What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Having fun with the kids and meeting up with friends

What are some causes you care about?
Cancer Research as cancer has affected most people’s lives. And Muscular Dystrophy UK as a friend’s little boy was diagnosed at 2 years old with Emery-Dreifuss which is a muscle-weakening and wasting condition and he will likely be in a wheelchair from his early teens. Every movement he makes is a challenge and it is heartbreaking to know that there is no treatment for these conditions.

What do you do with friends in your spare time?
We tend to meet up at someone’s house so all the kids can go off and play (nicely!) together and the adults can catch up over a bite to eat and a glass of something chilled
