It has been brought to our attention that there is a Boolean button (toggle button) layout issue in Business Central when being used on Chrome version 103.0.5060.53 and Edge 103.0.1264.37. The issue causes the toggle buttons to appear at the top of sections and without their labels in the Business Central web client.

The cause of the problem

The cause of this problem is the new Chromium update. If users have updated Edge or Chrome (both browsers are based on Chromium), they will come across this problem.

Both Microsoft and Chromium aware to be aware of the problem and are working on a solution. This may take some time. In the meantime, there are a number of workarounds.

Simple workaround: Use FireFox

Use a browser that is not based on Chromium, for example FireFox

Microsoft update (as of 29 June)

On 1 July, Microsoft published the following article, Chromium browser issue affecting Business Central. The article states that “for Business Central online customers, the fix is already rolling out, starting June 29” and then goes on to describe how on-premises customers can identify the issue and plan their approach to fixing or working around the problem.
