Hamish Kirwan – Bevica Consultant
Hamish has built his career in a variety of wine businesses, ranging from huge eCommerce D2C brands and boutique importer/wholesalers to running an online wine retail business of his own. With a background in Operations and Procurement (and a personal passion for wine), Hamish has gained a wealth of knowledge across the drinks sector, with a focus on building scalable operations and continually improving processes.
His role at TVision is to help our drinks clients successfully implement Bevica into their businesses.
Name someone you admire and why?
Amy Sedaris, purely because I believe that people who make other people laugh are the greatest kind of people.
What’s a typical day like for you?
Each day varies, but most include testing new functionality for Bevica, working alongside customers to help develop solutions and processes that help achieve their goals, and assisting with the Bevica improvement pipeline.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I have been tap dancing since I was six years old.
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
Either on a slope in France or on a beach in Greece.

A pilot, which is ironic as I’m a very nervous flyer.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
As a ‘generalist’ with broad drinks industry experience, I’m able to take some of the more complex drinks business concepts and distill them down to manageable pieces of information allowing our team to provide the best solution.

I’d love to ski in Aspen.

I’d like to apply for and be granted UK Citizenship this year.

Aside from the standard news outlets, I subscribe to the New York Times (primarily for Wordle) and Monocle Magazine.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Spending time with my family, skiing, and keeping active.
What are some causes you care about?
I care about the environment and so I’m always looking for ways to do my part in protecting and preserving our planet.
What do you do with friends in your spare time?
We all love food and travel, and so if we’re not planning our next holiday we’re usually planning our next meal.
