What is Certified for Microsoft Dynamics?

Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD) is the certification awarded to some solutions and add ins for Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM products. Products that carry the CfMD badge have met Microsoft’s highest standard for partner developed solutions giving you the proof before you buy that they connect, integrate or operate seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics business solutions.

Why CfMD?

With CfMD, customers can access a portfolio of tested, reference-able software solutions to address their specific business needs. Solutions are available that extend features; for example Jet Reports; and those that extended functionality to meet customers’ unique business and industry needs, for example TVision’s Wine System.

CfMD means the solution has been tested and seamlessly integrated with Microsoft Dynamics products; and is used and recommended by other companies.

Why CfMD for Dynamics NAV?

As Dynamics NAV resides in its own development environment, over the years lots of great enhancements have been developed by partners. CfMD provides recognition from Microsoft and commitment from your partner that the solutions work seamlessly with NAV and will continue to follow the NAV Roadmap.

Product requirements for CfMD

Compatible with Microsoft Dynamics
Solution must pass the compatibility and development standards test “Software Solution test for Microsoft Dynamics” Testing is performed by an independent 3rd party; Lionbridge, an established global services provider for softwrae testing.

Customer references
Solution must have a minimum of ten customer references, showing that others in your industry are successfully and happily using the product.

Pinpoint listing
Solution must be profiled on Microsoft Pinpoint as a software application

Partner requirements

Competency
The developing partner must as a minimum hold a Microsoft Silver Certified Partner competency.

Product Support
The developing partner must show that they can and will support the product, and that they will continue to follow the Microsoft roadmap for updating their solution to keep up with new versions of the Microsoft Dynamics product. Contact details for support and escalation must be provided and service level agreements showing the support lifecycle of the product must be available.

Software Escrow
Partners must offer an escrow service to customers who wish to use this in the event the partner becomes unable to support the software.
