Chris Symonds – Customer Services Manager

Chris joined TVision as its Customer Services Manager in early 2022. He has been in the NAV/BC Partner world for just over 12 years in total and has worked within various departments during that time, Customer Services / Support, Account Management, even a spill in Product Development for awhile, and more recently Training. During that time he has become a bit of an expert when it comes to Jet Reports. The one thing that these jobs have had in common is providing a great level of service to customers.

Name someone you admire and why
Lt. John ‘JT’ Thornton RM – A friend of mine who achieved so much in a short space of time but was sadly killed in Afghanistan. An inspirational leader and great guy who I looked up to as I grew up. See Causes.

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
Hiking in some mountains.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I always wanted to be a Fast Jet Pilot in the Royal Air Force, unfortunately, I wasn’t able to as my femurs are too long!

Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…
Awake because my kids don’t understand that sleeping is a good thing.

How do you want people to remember you?
As a positive influence, kind and generous.

What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job?
A professional and experienced approach to leading sales and processes. Results-driven with a natural ambition to drive company growth and expansion. A calm leader, who sees the big picture, understands timing, challenges the norm, and looks to bring stability knowing that my actions, attitude, reaction, and thinking go a long way in determining successful outcomes.

Name three words that describe you.
Full of energy!

How do you think your colleagues would describe you?

What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
Camping with family and friends.

What are some causes you care about?
I’m an Ambassador for The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF). A charity that was set up after JT was killed in Afghanistan to provide scholarships and bursaries to kids who want to challenge themselves, or do something they wouldn’t normally be able to afford.

What do you do with friends in your spare time?
Camping, mountain biking, hiking. Those sorts of things.
